About Our Company

World to Build is an online voxel-based sandbox game where players can create worlds and designs in a 3D environment, create their own personal avatar, learn script-based programming, make friends, and build their wealth with an interactive online economy.

We are a startup company located in Wake County, North Carolina and are looking for team members that are as excited as we are about creating the next big sandbox game.

Our tight-knit team of developers are located in all parts of the United States, and our company is 100% remote. Our goal is simple: Create an interactive game where players can collaborate, make friends, and break the ceiling of 3D building, all while staying 100% community focused (it's been our commitment from day one).

Position Details

Role Name: Discord Bot Developer

Type: Part Time/Remote

Department: Web

Description

This position involves creating new and upgrading existing Discord bots for the World to Build Discord server. You would be working with the web development team to get what you need to make the bots functional and complete tasks related to World to Build account verification, displaying online user counts, handling member roles, and other common Discord features.

Functions

  • Create new Discord bots or add features to existing bots
  • Work with the web team to create and upgrade webhooks and other web-based Discord features

    • Requirements

  • 18 years experience or more in living
  • Experience with creating Discord bots
  • Basic understanding of how Discord bots communicate with web servers

    • Good to Have

  • Bonus points if you can show already-functional version of features we have interest in (website account verification, managing member roles, displaying information from an API as a bot's status, and more)
  • Web development experience
  • You can code python using a python while wearing a python
